How to enter
To enter an image you need to be a registered member of Digital Camera Photographer of the Year or PhotoRadar, pay the entry fee (£10) and also agree to the terms and conditions of the competition at entry.
- Register using a valid email address
- When you have registered, an email will be sent to you to confirm your registration and password
- Log-in and click Enter the competition link from your profile box in the top right. From here you'll be taken to a page that tells you more about the competition. This page has a link to PayPal so that you can pay the entry fee of £10. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this service. Please note there are no refunds.
- Once you have paid you will be returned to the Photographer of the Year website.
- You will now be able to Upload a photo using the link from your profile box. You may enter up to a maximum of five (5) photos per category.
- Images should not exceed the maximum size of 5MB, in JPEG format.
- We want to know as much about your photo as possible when you enter so please ensure you add an image title and description (ie. what we're looking at and how you got the shot) as well as your camera details in the information boxes provided during submission. For some cameras, we will read the EXIF data so this information will be automatically displayed.
- Once uploaded, your photograph can then be viewed within your portfolio on the Photographer of the Year site by yourself and other visitors to the site, but only registered members of Digital Camera Photographer of the Year or PhotoRadar will be able to vote and comment on your image.
- The judging team may select your image for the final Shortlist. If your image is selected, you may be asked to submit a high-resolution version.
Please refer to the Rules section for full terms and conditions.
